Marie Remmerde, 81; of Rock Valley died Sunday, November 22, 1987 in a Sioux City hospital.
Services were held Wed., Nov. 25 at 10-30 a.m. in the Carmel Reformed Church with the Rev. Virgil Dykstra officiating. Burial was in Carmel Cemetery. Family visitation was held in the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.
Mrs. Remmerde; the former Marie Sandbulte, was born July 25, 1906, in Carmel. She lived her youth and attended rural school in the Carmel area.
She married John Remmerde Feb. 6, 1924, in Carmel. The couple farmed in the Carmel vicinity. Mrs. Remmerde was a member of Carmel Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Anna Marie DeBoer of Rock Valley, Johanna Overman of Sioux Center and Phyliss Wasmund of Artesia, Calif.; two sons, Herb of Rock Valley and Kenneth of Aumsville, Ore.; a brother, Henry of Sioux Center; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
