Rites Held Here Monday For Johanna Wolfswinkel

Funeral services were held at the local First Reformed church Monday, March 25, for Mrs. Johanna Wolfswinkel, 81, longtime resident of Sioux Center, who died Friday, March 22, at the Sioux Center nursing wing, where she had been a resident. The Rev. Jack Boerigter officiated. Burial was made in the Carmel cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wolfswinkel was born April 13, 1886, in The Netherlands.

She was married in March, 1906, to Henry Wolfswinkel at Sioux Center. He preceded her in death.

To this union were born six children: Jennie (Mrs. Ben Schoep) of Hull, Joe of Rock Valley, Johanna (Mrs. Art Rozeboom) of Sioux Center, Hattie (Mrs. Ralph Vande Berg) of Sioux Center, and Dena (Mrs. Ray DeBey) of Hull, all of whom survive.

One son, Bernie, preceded in death.

She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, William and Henry Sandbulte and Mrs. John Remmerde, all of Carmel.
