Mrs. Lizzie E. "Granny" Reese, 96, of 3539 Milledgeville Road, Augusta, Georgia, entered into rest Thursday, July 21, 1994, at St. Joseph Hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry Clanton officiating. Burial will be in Passworth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Reese, George Young, Sterling Reese, Buddy Edison, Jerry Hightower and Danny Powell. Mrs. Reese, a lifelong resident of Richmond County, was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Sterling Reese and Frank Reese, both of Augusta; five daughters, Willie Mae Cothern, Maggie Callender, Nancy Rogers and Elizabeth Murphey, all of Augusta, Ella Book, Monterey, La.; two sisters, Nora Powell and Madie Powell, both of Augusta; 40 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
