Anthony was born in 1908 in Chicago as the fifth child of Edward Leep and Jennie De Vries.

The Leep families moved in 1911 from Chicago to Canada and settled in or near the tiny Dutch community of Cramersburg, in the southwestern part of the of southern central Canadian province Saskatchewan. See for much more info and photos of Cramersburg: http://www.calvin.edu/hh/origins/Spring89.pdf

In 1923 Anthony's family had to leave Cramersburg because of drought and crop failures and moved to Highland, Lake County, in the northwestern part of Indiana, adjacent to Cook County and Chicago in Illinois.

His mother Jennie alias Katie died in 1924 at the age of about 45 years, likely in or near Lansing, Illinois, about 6 miles west of Highland, Lake County, Indiana.

In 1930 Antony (21 y, born in Illinois), his father Eward Leep (53 y, Holland), his siblings Garrett (24 y, born in Illinois too), Jane (18 y, Canada), Fannie (16 y, Canada), James (15 y, Canada), Sarah (13 y, Canada) and his grandmother Clara Leep (80 y, Holland) lived in Highland, Lake County, northwest Indiana, adjacent to Cook County and Chicago. In Highland came quite some Dutch settlers after the construction of a railroad.

Anthony Leep married on 7 May 1941 to Jeanette Zandstra. They had Verna Jean, Carl William and Anthony John, born in 1946 in Highland, as children.

The married Anthony Leep was enlisted on 28 January 1943 in Indianapolis for military service for the duration of World War II or other emergency, plus six months, subject to the discretion of the President or otherwise according to law. Military rank: private. Army branch: immaterial - warrant officers. Army component: selectees (enlisted men).
Education level: grammar school. Civilian occupation: semiskilled chauffeurs and drivers, bus, taxi, truck, and tractor.

Anthony died in 1975 at the age of 67 years in Benton Harbor on Lake Michigan in the utter southwestern part of Michigan, but was residing then in Lake County, Indiana, very probably in Highland. His widow Jeanette died in 1991 in Highland, Lake County at the age of 75 years.
