Peter Kroese, 88, of Hull died Sunday, Dec. 16, 1990, at Sioux Center Community Hospital. Services were held at First Christian Reformed Church at Hull, with the Rev. William Renkema officiating. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Kroese was born April 25, 1902, at Hornick, the son of Charles and Hilda (Brouwer) Kroese. He moved to Hull with his family as a child. On July 16, 1924, he married Cynthia Te Slaa at Hull. The couple farmed at Hull until 1958 when they retired and moved to town. In September 1985 he became a resident of Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull.
Mr. Kroese was a member of First Christian Reformed Church, were he had served on the Consistory for many years. In earlier years he was a member of the board of directors of several community organizations.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Charles and Darlene and John and Joyce, all of Hull; two daughters and their husbands, Hilda and Tom De Jong and Freda and Harold Klay, all of Hull; three sisters, Nellie Kroese, Evelyn Marra and Mrs. Louis (Ann) Wielenga, all of Hull; 10 grandchildre n; and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Freda; five brothers, Joe, John, Ivan, William and Charles Jr.; and three sisters, Jessie Stienstra, Gertrude Van Otterloo and Wilma Miersma.
