Mr. Leland Treece Auman, 84, of 223 Boyd Drive, Seagrove, NC, died Sunday, August 01, 2010, at Randolph Hospital Inc., Asheboro

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church, where he attended, with Elder John Winfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

A native of Randolph County, NC, Mr. Auman was born December 1, 1925, the son of the late Pearson Leland Auman and Cletus Freeman Auman. He was retired from Lucks, Inc., and had served in the US Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, Mr. Auman was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Auman, his brothers, Robert Auman, R.H. Auman, and sisters, Vivian Hinesley, Virginia Phillips and Betty Jean Auman.

Survivors include his wife, Lessie Crotts Auman, of the home; daughter-in-law, Robin Auman, of Asheboro; granddaughter, Stephanie Auman, of Asheboro; sisters, Mae Davis, of Seagrove, Blanche Nall, of Robbins, Lucy Maness, of Carthage; brothers, Clarence Auman, Boyd Auman, Harvey Auman, Franklin Auman, all of Seagrove.

The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, and other times at the home of Robin Auman, 145 Edna Street, Asheboro, NC.
