Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 31, at Union Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Ron Chaney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A native of Randolph County, Mr. Auman was born December 21, 1927, the son of the late Pearson Leland and Cletus Freeman Auman. He owned and operated a sawmill for several years and was retired from Klopman Mills, Inc. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Auman was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Kennedy Auman; brothers, Robert (Robert Neice Auman), R. H. (Rufus Henry Auman) and Treece (Leland Treece Auman); and sisters, Vivian Hinesley (Vivian Louise Auman), Virginia Phillips (Virginia Lee Auman), Betty Jean Auman, and Mae Davis (Cletus Mae Auman).
Survivors include his wife, Eva Upton Auman; son, Farrell C. Auman (Janet) of Seagrove; brothers, Boyd Auman (Verlene) of Seagrove, Harvey Auman (Betty) of Seagrove, and Franklin Auman (Pat) of Seagrove; sisters, Blanche Nall of Robbins and Lucy Anne Maness of Carthage; grandchildren, Greg Auman of St. Louis, MO and Scott Auman (Courtney) of Cedar Point, NC; great-grandchildren, Kemper, Kennedy, and Landon.
