Dies at 93
Mrs. Elinor Minetti, 93, a descendant of the pioneer de Fremery family, died yesterday in a Burlingame rest home.
Mrs. de Fremery was raised in the de Fremery home at 77 Fairmont Avenue, and received her schooling in Oakland. She was the daughter of William C.B. de Fremery, who with his brother James, operated the San Francisco Savings Union. de Fremery Park is located on the site of her uncle's estate.
Mrs. Minetti was the widow of Giulio Minetti, a conductor of the Sinfoinetta Society of San Francisco, a member of the San Francisco Symphony and a lifelong friend of conductor Arturo Toscanini. Both Mrs. Minetti and her husband taught music at their home at 2615 California Street, San Francisco, which was a center of cultural activity.
She is survived by her sister, Susan, at the Fairmont home, and a brother, Donald, San Rafael.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Gothic Chapel, Mountain View Cemetery. Services are under the arrangement of the Albert Brown Mortuary.
