MARSHALL – Jerry Trolley Payne, 84, of Marshall, died on Wednesday, Dec. 29th. 2010.
Jerry was a son of the late Caney and Ona Worley Payne. He was raised on Big Pine where he had lived and farmed for most of his life. He was a member of Lower Big Pine Baptist Church which he attended faithfully until declining health. Jerry was also preceded in death by his wife, Meredith "Midge" Barnett Payne; and brothers and sisters, Belva Henderson, Paralee Tweed, Clemmie Roberts, Mennie Payne, Ora Baker, Henry Payne, Evin Payne, Mearl Davis and Nellie Massey.
urviving are his son, Alan Payne and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Brad (Stephanie) Payne, Chad (Denise) Payne, Lisa (Bryan) Glance and Thad Payne and Ivy Gregg; great grandchildren, Amber, Austin, James, Bricen, Grady and Caleb and sisters, Evie Payne and Elsie Salliotte.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Home with the Reverends Mike Freeman and Danny Little officiating. Interment will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
