Allene Roberts Singleton, age 86, wife of the late Hauley Richard Singleton, of Rock Lane, died June 9, 2012 at Conway Medical Center.

Mrs. Singleton was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Joseph Henry "Oose" Roberts and Florie Ella Richardson Roberts.

She loved flowers and working in her yard. Mrs. Singleton was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She was predeceased by one son, Henry Reaves Singleton, two brothers, Archie Roberts and Lonnie Roberts, seven sisters, Maybelle Coates, Eloise James, Ethel Roberts McCormick, Pauline Cook, Pearl Martin, Naomi Blevins and Thelma Hazelton.

The family would like to thank her "darling boss" Johnny Blevins for all the special care he gave Mrs. Singleton.

Surviving are one son, Buddy Singleton and his wife, Ann, of Galivants Ferry, two daughters, Annette Smith Blevins and her husband, Johnny of Galivants Ferry and Yvonne Osteen and her husband, Allen, of Spartanburg, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. Alfred Cockfield officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
