Priscilla Van Ommeren, 89, of Maurice died Friday, October 29, at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.
Services were Monday at 1:30 p.m. at First Reformed Church in Maurice with the Rev. Wayne Sneller officiating.
Mrs. Van Ommeren was born to Jake W. and Cynthia (Te Slaa) Ver Meer on August 8, 1901, in Hull. She graduated from Hull High School. She received her teaching certificate from Morningside College in Sioux City. She taught rural school near Hull for four years.
She married Peter Van Ommeren on June 9, 1933. They farmed near Maurice until retirement.
She was a member of First Reformed Church of Maurice. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include three sons, Stan and Anna Mae of Maurice, Norm and Margene of Orange City and Dennis of Maurice; one daughter, Ruth and David Heidebrink of Maurice; one daughter-in-law, Marge of Boyden; 15 grandchildren; and 32 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994; one son, Don; two grandchildren; five sisters, Louise, Gertrude, Effie, Johanna and Hattie; and two brothers, Gerrit and Edward.
