Born and died in North Carolina. John was the son of Robert Sr & Mildred "Milly" [Whitehead] White. In 1778 Robert Sr's family was living in Granville County NC,
most likely at Mildred's father's home near the Tar River, Goshen District,
Robert was still away serving in the Revolutionary War, until 1780, he later
met up with the family in Caswell Co NC, in 1780, just west of Granville NC.
John's father Robert Sr, was released from service, and is in Caswell Co NC,
two house holds from his Father in law, William Whitehead, between 1781-1788.
The NC 1784 census was taken in Caswell Co NC 1786, John was not
on this Census, it appears he died between 1778-1786, before the family
departed for South Carolina.
