Nancy Pearl (Cullen) Lang died at her home in Port Angeles, Washington on Aug. 2, 2015, after living with ovarian cancer for over ten years. Born May 6, 1941, in Bremerton, Washington, to Harold William Cullen and Esther Bradway MacHenry, Nancy and her family moved to Pearl Harbor just before the start of World War II. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1959 and married Robert Trask in 1961; they raised their family in Silverdale, Washington, divorcing in 1985.

Nancy worked at Puget Sound Navel Shipyard from 1970 to 1989. She graduated from Evergreen State College in 1990. Her work as a management team builder brought her to Port Angeles where she married Lawrence A. “Larry” Lang in 2003.

In 2014 Nancy published a book about her grandmother Pearl MacHenry's 1930 trip across the United States in a Willys-Knight automobile. Titled "9,000 Miles in a Knight," the book was a collaboration for Nancy and Larry, both avid genealogists and historians. She transcribed her grandmother's travel journal, and together, they found and scanned newspaper clippings, maps, postcards and photographs to illustrate 148 pages. Nancy enjoyed gardening, hiking, and volunteering. She is remembered for her positive attitude, generosity, and steadfast love for her family.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Larry; brother, Douglas (Keiko) Cullen; son, Sean (Shalie)Trask; daughter, Sabrina Trask; stepdaughter, Rebecca Lang; stepson, Paul Lang; and grandchildren, Courtney, Chad, Kasey, Brycen and Zane Trask and Nolan Dallegge.
