OBITUARY:
Robert Eugene McKain, son of Edwin Marcus and Mary Alice McKain was born August 7,1891 in the Pipe Creek neighborhood of Ottawa County and passed away at Concordia in the St. Joseph's hospital on March 13, 1960 at the age of 68 years. After spending a few childhood years in southern Kansas he returned to spend the rest of his life in Ottawa County.

He was united in marriage to Anna Mary Gronewaller on August 2, 1915 and seven children were born: Mrs. Callista Hiderhof of Shawnee, Robert McKain of Delphos, Mrs. Mary Wheeler of Minneapolis, Mrs. Alice Reid of Wichita, Mrs. Lucy Embrey of Rogersville, Missouri, Theodore McKain of Downs and Louis McKain of Topeka.

He is survived by his widow, Anna, his seven children, two daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, six brothers: Ross, Jess, Everett, Virgil, Archie and Clyde: one sister Mrs. Jennie Dewey: several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and s son-in-law Dale Wheeler. He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Delphos at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16 with the Reverend Robert Vering officiating. Interment was in St. Paul's cemetery of Delphos. Pallbearers were Frank Keim, Carroll Righter, George Krone, Jim Hart, Lee Shaffer and Paul Breen. The Fouts Funeral Home of Minneapolis was in charge of the services.
