BURNSVILLE, N.C. — Floyd Miller, 92, of the Ramseytown Community of Yancey County, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006, in Mountain Manor Assisted Living in Burnsville, NC.
A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Charlie and Dolly Wilson Miller, and the husband of Maude Tallent Miller, who died in 1997. Also preceding him in death was a son, Ralph Miller. He was a member of Millers Chapel Baptist Church and a retired employee of the N.C. Department of Transportation.
Surviving are 3 daughters: Judith Hensley, Faye Adkins and Virginia Lee Wilson, all of Erwin; 3 sons: Jack Miller, Wade Miller and Farrell Miller, all of Burnsville, NC; 4 sisters: Lassie Buchanan and Virginia Belle Foster, of Erwin, and Grace Adkins and Lala Higgins, of Burnsville; a brother: Holt Miller, of Cowpens, SC; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
