Mrs. Riddle is survived by her husband of 54 years, Howard Riddle; sons, Jeff Riddle and wife April of Mars Hill, Randy Riddle and wife Rebecca of Boone; son-in-law, Gary Johnson of Swannanoa; grandchildren, Brent Johnson, Chelsea, Reagan and Ryman Riddle, Reilly, Cooper and Mary-Kathryn Riddle; sister, Jean Ball Rice of Leicester and brother, Dallas Ball of Horse Shoe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Riddle was a graduate of Marshall High School and Blanton's Business College. She served as the Marshall Town Clerk for several years, went on to retire from the USDA, then came out of retirement in 2006 to assist her husband at Coal, Feed and Lumber Co. in Marshall. Mrs. Riddle, or "Granny" as she was known, loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and family, as well as her garden and flowers.
Service will be held 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014 in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home with Reverends Randy Burrell and Gary Ball officiating. A Graveside Service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Ball Cemetery on Bailey's Branch Road.
