Robert Howard Riddle, 81, of Marshall, NC went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.
Howard was born in Madison County on October 15, 1935 to his late parents, Noah and Della Meadows Riddle. He was partner and operator of Coal Feed and Lumber Company for 55 years. He was a Veteran of the US Army and member of Laurel Fork Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Ball Riddle; daughter, Lisa Howard Riddle Johnson; brother, Everette Riddle; and sister, Faye Riddle Ball.
He is survived by his son Jeff and wife April of Mars Hill and son Randy and wife Rebecca of Boone; grandchildren: Brent Johnson; Chelsea, Reagan and Ryman Riddle; Reilly, Cooper and Mary-Kathryn Riddle; sister, Leta Ballard; son in-law, Gary Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and all of his loyal customers.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Rev. Gary Ball, Rev. Randy Burrell and Randy Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at Ball Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00. p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
