Third child of Jesse & Margaret Messer Rice; family history has he had apparently put a bean up his nose at some point, as small children are prone to do; it was lodged and became infected, and it took his life. Dates of 1884-1886 are approximate based on his birth order and age at death.

Based on family information and the location of Jesse's grave next to these two, it is believed these are the graves of Thomas Wilson Rice and James Elbert Rice, their first child who was stillborn around 1882.

There is also the possibility of a third infant buried next to Jesse. His daughter, Hester Rice Burrell, had visited the cemetery at one time and stated that three babies were buried near Jesse instead of two. This information was discovered on a family trip to Fisher Cemetery in September 2013, and told by the current owner of the property, Adam Rice, who remembers Hester's visit to the cemetery that day.
