In 1930 Anton Leep (14 y), his parents David (43 y) and Fannie Leep (41 y), his siblings Nichalos (18 y, born in Chicago), Henry (16 y, Chicago), Elizabeth (11 y, Canada) and Martin (7 y, Illinois) resided in Martin, Allegan County, in the western part of Michigan, about 20 miles south of Grand Rapids. The family of Anton's uncle Duke Leep was living there too.

Anton married on 31 May 1939 in Dorr, Allegan County, Michigan at the age of 23 years to the two years younger Sylvia Helmholdt.

In May 1940 Anton Leep (24 y, shipping clerk at General Motors) and his wife Sylvia (22 y) resided at an own farm, worth $1200, in Martin Township, Allegan County, Michigan. Next door to them lived his parents, farmer David Leep (52 y), and Fannie (52 y), and his siblings Henry (26 y) and Martin (17 y), also on an own farm, worth $2500.

On 1 March 1943 they lost their baby Bruce Calvin on the same day that he was born, in Plainwell City, Allegan County. On 14 May 1944 they lost their baby Ronald Duane on the same day that he was born, in Plainwell too. On 5 April 1947 they lost their baby Thomas Dale on the same day that he was born, in Allegan County. They had three more children.

Anton died in 1979 suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 63 years in the Pipp Community Hospital at Plainwell, Allegan County, but resided then in Martin. His widow Sylvia died in 1985 in Grand Rapids at the age of 67 years.
