MR. DAVE ELROD, 68, died at his home 4 miles west of Carnesville on Wednesday night at 12 oclock following a continued illness from dropsy.
The remains of Mr. Elrod were interred at Hunters Creek Church today, (Friday) at 11 oclock.
Mr. Elrod was a brother of Mr. W. P. Elrod of Lavonia. Also, he was father of Mrs. C. W. Andrews and Mrs. Charlie Hamby of Lavonia. He is survived by a wife
and 5 sons and daughters.
Mr. Elrod had been a citizen of this county for many years. He was honest in his dealings and a good farmer. He was well-known in the section around
Carnesville where he was held in high esteem.
