Miss Meriweather Dies in Hospital

Miss Frances Meriweather, 58, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital here following a comparatively brief illness.

She had been in failing health for the last three months and was taken from the office of the Coffman Stair Co. Tuesday noon to the hospital in the Gersther ambulance when her condition took an unexpected turn for the worse.

Her home was at 218 McKinley Avenue.

She was a member of Grace Methodist Church and its True Blue Sunday School class, the Eastern Star, the Business and Professional Women's Club and the Westminister Guild and was active in all of those organizations as long as her health permitted.

A lifelong resident of Washington C.H. and a graduate of the high school here she had many friends.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Meriweather preceded her in death, but she is survived by two brothers, Robert and Carl Meriweather both of Washington C.H.

Funeral services are to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gerstner Funeral Home and burial is to be in the Washington C.H. Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday.
