Mrs. Meriweather Dies at her Home Here

Mrs. John P. Meriweather passed away at 3:30 a.m. Thursday at her home following an illness of seven years.

She was a lifelong resident of Fayette County and was the widow of John P. Meriweather who died in 1982. She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, the Mizpah Bible class, Elmwood Ladies Aid Society and the Garden Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Frances, who lived with her mother; two sons, Robert and Carl Meriweather, both of Washington, C.H.; four grandchildren; one sister, Miss Fanny McLean of Washington C.H.; four brothers, Harold, Berl, and Walter McLean all of this city; and Howard McLean of Newark.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Klever Funeral Home, Rev. Allan W. Caley in charge. Burial will be in the family lot in Washington Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after Friday noon.
