Services for Raymond Meriwether, 94 (sic), of 318 Wilkinson St. will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home. He died Thursday morning at Columbia Hospital Frankfort after a brief illness. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

A native of Franklin County, he was a retired carpenter and a member of Graefenburg Methodist Church. He was the widower of Lena Belle Harrod Meriwether.

He is survived by a son, Stanley Meriwether, Frankfort; three daughters, Julia Cook, Betty Singleton and Dorothy O'Connell, all of Frankfort; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Junius and Drucilla Hawkins Meriwether.

The Rev. Gene Roberts will officiate.

Bearers will be Paul D. Singlton, Jr., Ray Meriwether, Kevin Meriwether, Keith Meriwether, Phillip O'Connell and David Singleton. Honorary bearers will be his grandsons.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. Sunday.
