What's left of John & Mary's crypt is a jumble of bricks next to daughter Samantha (Clower) Burch Lewis' tombstone. Clower is my mothers side, the direct line & I visited and photographed this location in 1992, spoke with an elderly man across the street who used to "play on as a child" the crypt before it became a statistic to "time and vandals" & can verify it's authencity. The quotes are his direct words.

I am in possession of a document from the National Society of United States Daughter of 1812 which state the following:
John Clower served as a Private in Nixon's Thirteenth Regiment of Mississippi Militia in the war of 1812.
Certified by the Mississippi State Archives.
This was attached to the application of Mr. Walter Edward Haase, (nee Donahoo) Baton Rouge, La. as a descendent of said John Clower who was born in Burks Co. Pa . Matilda Clower, daughter of John, married John A. Donahoo and that is the line of the applicant Mae Donahoo.
