Burnsville, NC - Vaughtie Mae Deyton, 87, of Green Mountain, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at her home.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late W. M. and Dora Woody Gardner and the wife of the late R. B. Deyton, who passed away in 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Edward Deyton, who passed away in 1993; five brothers, two sisters and two sons-in-law: Michael Munson and Mac Harten.
Vaughtie loved to quilt and loved to work in her flowers and garden.
Burial will follow in the Deyton-Riddle Cemetery on Brush Creek.
