Mrs. Turner was born in Horry County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Franklin and Effie Johnson Holt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Dock Turner; one son; and one grandson.
Mrs. Turner was a homemaker for most of her life, and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Wilbur (Connie) Turner and Clyde (Judy) Turner, both of Florence; three daughters, Kathleen (Sonny) Campbell of Darlington, Mary (Sheldon) Dawsey of Aynor, and Winnie (Harold) Hardwick of Mullins; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 at Gethsemane Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery.
