Robert Bruce Cornish, 81, Mount Washington, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at his home. He was a native of Anderson County, a retired employee of General Electric Building No. 3, where he worked for 33 years, a member of I.U.E. 761, Bullitt County Coon Hunters Club, a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Washington. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cody Cornish.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Gritton Cornish; a daughter, Linda Crenshaw; a son, David Cornish; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Bonnie Divine. The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation is after noon Sunday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society. McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
