Marie married Jean-Rejean Melancon on 15 January 1742, in Port-Royal, Acadie. They are the parents of at least the following (verified with PRDH):
1) Marie (1742-1824) md (a) Louis Aide dit Crequy and (b) Isidore Tousignant
2) Marie-Anne (1744-1825) md Pierre Auger
3) Marie-Felicite (abt 1746-1824) md Joseph-Marie Beaudet
4) Marguerite (abt 1748-1758) died of smallpox
5) Jean-Baptiste (abt 1753-1758) died of smallpox
6) Madeleine (abt 1756-1758) died of smallpox

She was buried on 2 January 1758.

Her family was on the ship Pembroke, when they were deported from Port Royal on 8 December 1755. The ship was bound for North Carolina, but during the crossing, the passengers (prisoners) took control of the boat. They headed for the mouth of the Saint John River on 8 February 1756, and the ship was burned there. They left this region to head to Quebec City. They arrived during the smallpox epidemic which killed Jean, Marie-Josephe and three of their children. Jean's father also died during the epidemic.
