Ethel E. Cornish, 69, of Crestwood, died Sunday at St. Anthony Medical Center. She was the former Ethel E. Gordon.

Survivors: a son, Danny D. Cornish; a daughter, Darlene A. Knight of Crestwood; two brothers, Leon Gordon of Lake Wells, Fla., and Emmett Gordon; and five grandchildren.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday, Arch L Heady Westport Road Funeral Home, 7410 Westport Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

James and Ethel had one son, Wayne Lee Cornish (1945–1976) and apparently adopted Danny Dale and Darlene A. Cornish; their parents were Howard Calvin Preston and Mamie L. Peavler.
