Leon Gordon of Lake Wales died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Lake Wales Medical Center. He was 87. Memorial services will be held Friday, Nov. 17, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church with Pastor Ed Marshall officiating. Cremation is scheduled.
He was born Dec. 26, 1912, in Frankfort, Ky. and moved to Lake Wales in 1976 from Florence, Ky. He was a retired welder for Powell Value Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a member of First Christian Church of Lake Wales. He enjoyed fishing, playing the organ and listening to music.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Gordon of Lake Wales; and many nieces and nephews, including Betty Hawkins of Lake Wales.
