SPENCER (Special) - Funeral services for Fred Valentine, 63, of Chloe, Calhoun county, were to be held today at 2 p.m. at Oka Methodist church in Calhoun county.
The Rev. Basil Hensley was to officiate and burial was to follow in Cottrell cemetery near the church under direction of Sinnett mortuary of Spencer.
Mr. Valentine died Tuesday at the home of a stepson, Everett Hunt of Akron, O. He had been a patient in an Akron hospital for a month.
Mr. Valentine was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Calhoun county. He was a member of White Oak Methodist church.
Surviving besides his stepson, are the widow, Cynthia Jarvis Valentine of Chloe; a sister. Mrs. Elliott Jarvis of Tariff, Roane county, and five grandchildren.
