I am a 6th generation Cottrell born & raised in West Virginia. My oldest known Cottrell progenitors were Thomas and Mary "Polly" O'Brien Cottrell. Their son, Silas Cottrell, was my gt.gt.grandfather. He married Sabra Cox in Kanawha Co., WV, and both are buried at the Cottrell Cemetery, Oka, Calhoun Co., WV. I have posted the complete transcription pictures of that cemetery, up-to-date as of May 2016.
