She married Jerry Adkins April 5, 1904 at Honaker, Floyd County, Kentucky. To this union were born nine children, three sons and six daughters. One son, Gradin died in infancy and was buried in Floyd County. Another son, George Richard was drowned May 7, 1934. She is survived by her husband-- Jerry Adkins, and seven children; Oscar Adkins, Whitehouse. Kentucky; Mrs. Essie Fairchild, Mrs. Bess Daniels, Mrs. Golda Swain Mrs. Virginia Hoskins, Mrs Elizabeth Dills, Mrs. Grace Elsa Booth, all of Paintsville, Kentucky. Mrs. Betty McKenzie, a grand daughter that she raised, plus 20 grandchildren and 13 great grand children .
She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. A loving Mother and Grandmother and a friend to anyone in need.
