Daughter of Joseph Henry Ellingwood and Isa Belle Robbins. She was the eldest of their 7 children.

Amy J. Drake

WILTON - Mrs. Amy J. Drake, 80, of Upper Main St. died at her home here early Friday {October 29} morning.

She was born at Paris, Feb. 21, 1896, the daughter of Joseph and Isabelle Robins Ellingwood. She attended Paris and Hebron schools and during WWII worked as a welder at the Bath Iron Works. She also worked as a housekeeper in private homes having worked at Buckfield for several years for John Ellingwood. She was married in December of 1971 to Bernard E. Drake.

Surviving besides her husband of Wilton are a son, Horace Farris, Brunswick, six daughters, Mrs. Elva Niemi, Lewiston, Mrs. Joyce Souey, Greene, Mrs. Isabel Bedard, Mrs. Iva Bragg, Mrs. Josephine Trenoworth, and Mrs. Stevens, all of Sumner, a step-daughter, Mrs. Sharon Mynard, Farmington, three brothers, Howard and Irwin both of West Paris and Perley of Dixfield, two sisters, Mrs. Doris Maxim, Paris Hill and Mrs. Ruth Lowell, Buckfield, four half-sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Chamberlain, Mrs. Beryl Oja and Mrs. Susie Abbott, all of West Paris and Mrs. Ian Grover, Bethel, 44 grandchildren, and 80 great-grandchildren.
