Lavoy was the son of William Colvin Woodall and Julia Blanch Unknown. He was born about 1886 in Florida.

Below is an account of conversations with Woodall relatives that I have had.

Was killed by his father William Colvin Woodall when he was age 13. He was working in a field & his father hit him in the back of head with a board.
May be buried in Woodlawn Cemetery between Artie Woocall & William Colvin 'WC' Woodall

According to Lorene Hall Woodall, Lavoy was buried in the yard of where William Colvin Woodall lived at that time near Salem, Taylor, Florida.
Per Julia Mae Woodall (Sue) Glover, she said someone stopped Wm Colvin Woodall the day he killed Lavoy and then said he had to "go a bury this boy before he goes to stinking."

On 7/27/2014 (at Queen Esther Woodall's Memorial Service), William Singleton Woodall Jr. stated when Wm Colvin killed his son, he left Sirmans area with Lavoy in the back of the wagon. A Mr Blue stopped to talk to him for a while. Wm Colvin Woodall told him, he had to go bury the 'boy' before he got the stinking. He was headed from Sirmans to Perry. I believe the grave beside him and his wife, is Lavoy.
