Little is known about his mother, as to her maiden name, year of birth, place of birth, even when/where she died or where she was buried. Census's show she was born in Georgia. His father was very good with music and was a 'Singing Teacher'. Per the 1900 Census, his father and stepmother lived in Salem, Taylor County, Florida.
