Son of Asa A. Robinson and Betsey Olinda Benson. He was the 2nd of their 11 children.


In 1900 he lived in Sumner, Maine, with parents and 8 siblings. He worked on his father's farm.


At the 1910 census he lived with his brother Roscoe, as boarders, with the family of Charles Leavitt in Livermore, Maine, where they worked as farm laborers.


He married Gertrude Oldham on 19 Apr 1911 in Peru, Maine. They were first cousins, as his mother and her mother were sisters. [His brother, George Robinson, also married Gertrude's sister, Josephine Oldham.] They had children:

In 1930 he lived in Bethel, Maine, with wife and 3 children. He worked in a spool and novelty mill.


In 1940 he lived in Livermore Falls, Maine, with wife and daughter Evelyn, next door to his son Lucius, Jr. and his family.


In 1950 he and his wife lived alone in Peru, Maine, next door to their son, Lucius Jr., and his family.
