LIVERMORE FALLS -- John Robinson, 87, died Thursday at a Winthrop Nursing Home where he had been a patient for six days.

He was born in East Sumner, July 30, 1889, the son of Asa and Bessie Benson Robinson. He was educated in Sumner schools and was a veteran of WWI. He married Helen Swan of Livermore Falls, July 8, 1918. She died in December 1953. He was employed in a railroad company for 33 years and retired 25 years ago.

He made his residence on Sewell Street in Livermore Falls. Prior to that he lived in Auburn, Cumberland, and Beans. He was a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Workers Union and a member of the AL of Auburn. He attended a Baptist Church.

Survivors include tow daughters, Mrs. Madeline Goding of Livermore Falls and Mrs. Emma Orday of Gray; 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A son, William, died in September 1970.
