Angeline D. Korver
August 28, 1928 - December 8, 2014
-------------
Mrs. Angeline Korver, age 86, of Alton, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

Angeline Dena was born on August 28, 1928, at Carmel, the sixth child of fourteen children of William and Rebecca (Wesselink) Sandbulte. She was raised on a farm west of Carmel and attended the Carmel Country School and the Sioux Center High School.

On January 12, 1951, she married Calvin Marvin Korver at the Carmel Reformed Church. They made their home on a farm by Struble for a year and then moved to a farm south of Alton, where they lived until 2008. Calvin passed away on October 16, 2008, in Orange City, after 56 years of marriage. She then lived in the Pioneer Memorial Home and the Heritage House Nursing Home, both in Orange City, and she spent the last year in the Prairie Ridge Care Center.

Mrs. Korver was an active member of the Alton Reformed Church, teaching Sunday school classes, serving on the building committee, and participating in Circle and Guild. She was also a member of the Northwestern College Women's Auxiliary and the Orange City Area Health System Auxiliary.

Angeline was employed at the First National Bank in Sioux Center before she was married and then became a homemaker and worked alongside Calvin on the dairy farm. She was also a Certified Nurse's Aide at the Heritage House, after her children were grown.

She had the gift of hospitality and enjoyed opening her house and serving delicious meals to anyone who stopped. There was nothing she loved more than having her grandchildren stay overnight, making special meals for them, and attending their events. Her faith in God was tremendous, and she was very dedicated to teaching her children and grandchildren the Word.

Survivors include five children and their spouses, Miriam and Dave Hector, of Le Mars; Debra and Cornie Wassink, of Alton; Carlois Mirpuri, of Palm Bay, Florida; Martin and Molly Korver, of Alton; and Eileen and Terry Johnson, of Milford; twelve grandchildren, Karlton (Chelsi) Hector; Craig Hector; Pastor Matthew (Hannah) Wassink; Ryan (Kari) Wassink; Sharina Mirpuri; Shivani Mirpuri; Shalini Mirpuri; Seth (Michelle) Korver; Dane Korver; Clark Johnson; Olivia Johnson; and Milan Johnson; ten great-grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Howard (Bernice) Sandbulte; Iola Statema; Fonda Kooistra; Glen Sandbulte; Laura (Jim) Westra; and Rodney (Carol) Sandbulte; a sister-in-law, Bernice Tilstra; and a brother-in-law, Ed Kats.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Korver; seven brothers and sisters, Hermina (August) Ykema; John (Hermina) Sandbulte; Henrietta (John) Draayer; Lloyd Sandbulte; Duane Sandbulte; Sharon Kats; and Henry Bernard in infancy; and two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Richard Kooistra, and Frank Statema.
