Benjamin C. Banks, 77, of Concord, went home to be with the Lord on September 17th, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Charles Clausel and Amy Agnes Banks.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two sons, Gregory Bruce Banks (wife Karen), Mark Alan Banks; sisters, Ann Higgins of Rutherfordton, NC, June Everhart of Asheville, NC; two granddaughters, Heather (Jordan), and Kim (Brandon); three great-grandchildren, Zoey, Hailey and Kaidon.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Ina Anglin, Evelyn McPeters, Vera Aldine Johnson, Carolyn Stern of Las Vegas; brothers, Bruce Banks, Rolin Banks, Hobert Banks, Edwin Banks, and Will Banks.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years. He was a member of Pitts Baptist Church for 38 years where he served as deacon and was on the visiting team.

Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday at Pitts Baptist Church on Pitts School Road. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
