This is my greatest find, it took me more than 20 years to locate. I sure wish I could identify everyone that was buried here. Unfortunately this cemetery was totally destroyed after 1940.

George was born to John and Sylvia Hudspeth Mikels, in 1794. George married Nancy Cravens in Hardin County, Kentucky in 1814, they had two sons. George then married in 1823 to Elizabeth McVey M.R. A page, 102 - Oct. 11, 1823 Hardin County, Kentucky, they had at least 6 children together. George served in the War of 1812. George and Elizabeth both died and are buried in Franklin twp, Montgomery County, IN and were buried in Mikels aka kashner Cemetery, Franklin twp, Montgomery County, IN. Several other family members are buried here along with many others, such as David Sparks war veteran.

GEORGE WAS A VETERAN OF THE WAR OF 1812, death date obtained from war of 1812 documents. Member of the Honey and Hazel Creek Baptist church - minute records.

George Mikells and Elizabeth Mikels are my 3x great grandparents, it is my understanding from another relative that my 4x great grandmother Silvia Hudspeth Mikels is also buried here. My 2x grandfather Thomas J. Mikles is buried in Mintonye Cemetery along with his wife Martha and young son
Thomas J. JR.
