The land this cemetery is on was deeded to John Mikels' heirs by J. Sutherland, via T. Coe, P. Brown. Sylvia Mikels and adult children sold property to Greenberry Cundiff and his wife Mary Ann "Ann" Sutton Cundiff in 1828. Clarissa Mikels daughter of John and Sylvia Mikels married William Sutton, son of Richard F. and Margaret Glass Sutton. Another of my greatest fines and a treasure. Silvia and John Mikels have a son John born in 1811, it is documented he went missing in the Mexican war, never to be heard from again.
