BUCYRUS: Harold Willis III, 44, of 840 Cleland Ave., Bucyrus died Tuesday at home unexpectedly.

He was born March 2, 1969 in Marion, Ohio to Ada Bullion and Harold Willis II and was a Galion High School graduate.

Immediately after high school Harold joined the US Army where he served for two and a half years and was stationed in Germany.

Harold worked various jobs and took some college courses following his time in the service before finding McDonald's, where he worked as a manager. He was the type of guy who really got to know an individual and loved motivating others. Harold always challenged his mind by reading books and studying inspirational quotes which he loved sharing with staff and no matter what job he did, it was done to the best of his ability.

In addition to reading, Harold loved to play the guitar, share his knowledge with others and he really dove into musical lyrics of songs he listened to.

"JR" as known to his family is survived by one daughter, Serenity Strait; his mother, Ada Bullion of Bucyrus; father, Harold Willis II of Brown Summit, N.C.; two brothers, Walter Willis and partner, Matt Daniels of Nashville, Tenn. and Gerald and Angela Willis of Bucyrus; along with two nieces, Cheyanne Willis and Samantha Willis both of Bucyrus.

A gathering in remembrance will be held from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, September 28 at The Friendship Shelter in Aumiller Park. Pastor Ray LaSalle will be sharing a few words beginning at 3:00 p.m. that day.

Harold was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend who will not be forgotten.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family for his daughter, Serenity through Wise Funeral Service or given directly to them the day of the service.
