Mrs. Myrtice Strickland Thrift, 81, died early Sunday morning (January 27, 2013) at Hospice House Satilla following a short illness.
She was a native and lifelong of Ware County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Flint" Thrift, her son, Harry Thrift and her parents, William Perry Strickland and Rosa Cox Strickland.
She was member of Suwannee Chapel of God of Prophecy and retired from B-Way Corporation in Homerville.
Survivors include her children, Lavern Strickland and Stanley Thrift (wife Beth) both of Homerville;daughter-in-law, Teresa Thrift of Homerville; six grandchildren, Margie Hendrix (husband Rick), April Thrift Lane, Kaitlyn Thrift, Kelsie Thrift, Laurie Anna Lee (husband Josh) and Maura Howell (husband Ben); six great grandchildren; a sister, Alberta Carter of Fernandina Beach, FL; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
