My Holbert line runs as far back as I can trace so far to my Great, great, great, great grandfather William Holbert born in 1751. From there his son Benjamin to his son Frederick his son Lewis to his son Rennie who is my mom's father (Lillian June (Holbert)Wixon) my grandfather.
I started my genealogy work last summer when I volunteered to update my family history book. Unfortunately my Mom died this past September and I lost alot of personal stories from her.
I continue to work everyday on my family history when I get a chance hoping to have new info for our upcoming family reunion this year. If anyone would have any info to share please do.
I also have an account at www.Ancestry.com with my family tree. It is the Holbert_Eldred Family Tree if anyone is interested. I also have a Facebook account for any friends.
My father's side of the family (Wixon)runs many years back in the states. I have also been looking for info on them as well. They were heavy in to farming as well as the railroad. My Dad worked at the Maybrook yard and Selkirk yard for over 40 years.
My passion has always been the Thoroughbred Racehorses. I managed one of the largest breeding farms in New York for over 15 years but had to leave that line of work to take care of my Mom when my Dad passed away so I still live in Middletown, NY with my wonderful husband Ron and daughter Meagan.
I truly enjoy helping others connect to their families.
*****IMPORTANT NOTE*******
Please remember to honor my hard work and give credit where credit is due.If you would like to use any of my pictures or stories that is fine, please ask when you can but do not remove any of my copyrights. It takes a lot of work, time and money to get these photos and I take a lot of pride in it. It breaks my heart when I come across my photos and stories online with absolutely no credit given to me. So please remember to give credit and this way you are also documenting your source! Thanks and happy searching!
