Aunt Elizabeth was very special – she always watched over her youngest brother Fred, my father. Following a construction accident in November 1966, he was wheelchair bound the rest of his life. Both Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Johnny made weekly visits to his home, always bringing baked "goodies" for him. Before this, they spent many hours at his hospital bedside and offering help, solace, and encouragement to my family.
