Elizabeth Adler was born in Kolb, Russia. She came to the United States with her family, arriving at the Port of Baltimore on 8/9 Jul 1912. She became an American citizen on 9 Jul 1953 at Tacoma, Washington. John Adler and Elizabeth were married 27 Dec 1925 and were blessed with two sons, Robert and Donald. Her husband died in 1984, and at the time of her death, she was survived by her sons Robert [Betty] and Donald [Mary], 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Emma Fox, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Aunt Elizabeth was very special – she always watched over her youngest brother Fred, my father. Following a construction accident in November 1966, he was wheelchair bound the rest of his life. Both Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Johnny made weekly visits to his home, always bringing baked "goodies" for him. Before this, they spent many hours at his hospital bedside and offering help, solace, and encouragement to my family.
