Mary was born in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1792, a daughter of James BOGGS & Sarah (WILSON) BOGGS, who are both buried in North Carolina.

She married Dornton BALDRIDGE Sr. in 1810 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Dornton & Mary moved their family from North Carolina to Jefferson County, Illinois in 1820. Dornton was a farmer and a teamster, traveling between Jefferson County and St. Louis, Missouri. Dornton & Mary had a total of twelve children together; the last one, Mary, was born in 1831. Dornton died in 1832.

Mary then married Matthew R CUNNINGHAM in NOV 1834 in Jefferson County, Illinois. Matthew was a farmer & a widower -- he had nine children with his first wife Sarah "Sally" (GASTON) CUNNINGHAM. Sally died in JUL 1834. Matthew and Mary then had one child together, Sarah Ann.

Mary died in 1865; her second husband Matthew would live on to the year 1877. BALDRIDGE family information states that Mary was buried in the "old BALDRIDGE family plot near the town of Walnut Hill".
