Elizabeth Brard was baptized on 4 February 1798 at the Dutch Reformed Church in Manhattan, a daughter of James Brard and Jane Black.
In 1798, she lived with her parents at 24 Robinson Street in Manhattan (present-day Park Place, on the block now occupied by the Woolworth Building and the 30 Park Place hotel and condominium tower).
She married Jacob Schieffelin in 1822.
She settled with her husband and children in Tioga County, Pennsylvania in 1828.
Mother of nine children.
