Carrell Daniel "Beatle" Ball, 59, of Big Sandy Mush Road, Leicester, died Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at his home.
A native of Buncombe Co., he was a son of Exum Prestwood Ball and of the late Weaver J. Ball. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Ball Brooks.
Mr. Ball was a driver for W.L. Logan Trucking Co. He was a member of Big Sandy United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Vickie Freeman Ball; daughters Carol Danielle Whitted and her husband, Danny, and Amy Sue Moore and her husband, Keith; grandson William Whitted; sister Joyce Rogers and her husband, Donald; brother Wendell Ball and his wife, Daphne; many special nieces and nephews and special friends in the community.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Big Sandy United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Fred Sibley, Larry Melton, and Ed Worley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave., to assist with expenses.
