Mrs. Tressie Grubb Bargo, 72, of Corinth, formerly of Callebs Creek, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 23, 2010 in the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood. She was a daughter of the late Owen and Eller Smith Grubb born on December 19, 1937 in Clay County.

Mrs. Bargo was a former seamstress and homemaker. She was a member of the Dripping Springs Baptist Church.

She united in marriage with D. V. Smith Sr. and to this union four children were born. Later, she united in marriage with Jack Bargo and to this union three children were born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a daughter, Annette Hale; three sisters, Verna Mae Bargo, Maxine Jordan and Carol Grubb; four brothers, Carl, Curt, Clyde and Paul Grubb; and a great granddaughter, Ava Nicole Hale.

Survivors include seven children, Louise Bargo of Barbourville, Elaine Smith of Lexington, Priscilla Broughton and husband, Johnny, of Corinth, Jackie Bargo and Rhonda Bargo both of Hinkle and Jennifer Hendrickson and husband, Robert, of Gray; three stepchildren, Don Bargo and wife, Janice, Louise Biller and husband, Tom, and Robert Franklin Bargo and wife, Patsy; two sisters, Bonnie Jones and husband, Earl, and Lorene Powell all of Hinkle; two brothers, M. J. Grubb and wife, Rowena, of Florida and Percy Grubb and wife, Eva, of Belleville, MI; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, September 27 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Owen Smith, Rev. Dewayne Smith and Rev. Ricky Broughton officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Grubb Cemetery at Callebs Creek.

Casket bearers will be grandsons.
